Jumps and Berms
Jumps and Berms are Fun!
If riding were nothing more than jumps and berms, it would be fun. So, this post is a video riding downhill off the infamous Cupcake and onto the Western Territory at Snowshoe Mountain Resort.
Snowshoe Bike Park
This was Day One back on the Downhill Bike at Snowshoe, and this was an early run top to bottom. After sending it off Cupcake we were into 10 Gallon, Ninja Bob, Missing Link and onto the Powerline.
The Good Stuff
This video was reformatted and edited to keep it short and fun with nothing but berms, jumps and good times. The trails were dry, hard-packed and fast with lots of exposed rocks.
Drops and Jumps
Cupcake is the classic drop onto 10 Gallon. The road gap is big enough to scare you, but it’s doable for expert riders. There is a new smaller road gap at the bottom of 10 Gallon called Shortcake.
Ninja Bob has more rocks and smaller jumps and rollers. At the trail fork we jumped onto Missing Link where the jumps get bigger, but are all rollable. Once you get to Powerline, the jumps and gaps get even bigger.
Turns and Berms
The berms at Snowshoe are amazing! Kudos to the trial crew and builders. There was fresh red dirt molded to perfection. Riding these berms leaves you smiling and wanting more.
Senior Citizens on Downhill Mountain Bikes
At this point in my life, I have no one to impress, but I hope you enjoy the POV ride. Take it easy on the older guys and come see us when you’re in your 60’s.
Have Fun!
Just ride your bike and have fun! Whatever your skill level, bike parks can challenge your skills.
